Art of Yoshitaka Amano and Tetsuya Nomura.
This just gives me chills.
Anyone here can argue that one or the other is better or the best, but really, you just can’t. You can TRY and tell me that you like one style better than the other, and that’s fine… But you just gotta appreciate it.
I love seeing these side-by-side because both amano and tetsuya are beloved artists for square and there’s a reason for it. Tetsuya has a style every character designer wants and Amano has a style Klimpt could be proud of in terms of illustration.
When I see the right side, I see personality, character definition, something solid enough to understand who these people might be. When I see the left side, I see form, movement in something that should be still, and a story.
